FAQs

What is your experience?

My leadership journey started as a “peer leader” in middle school, helping friends and classmates through difficult situations. With a degree in Psychology, a minor in Mathematical Statistics, and graduate courses in Systems Theory, I have the academic background to understand people, motivations, systems, feedback loops, and change management.

I’ve been married for over 20 years and have raised 2 of my 9 children into adulthood. I’ve been in sales, marketing, or operations management for the last 20 years, achieved the Highest Award of Achievement from Dale Carnegie Training, completed Dale Carnegie’s Management training, been a disciple of Joe Ellers Sales Training, been on my church’s parish council and leadership team, and am a founder of an elementary school of which I sit on the board of directors. I continue to read business, leadership, and psychology books and recently became certified in the 6 Types of Working Genius as a facilitator. Professionally I’ve been able to work with a number of entrepreneurs and help them to grow their businesses across a wide range of sizes and industries.

What is your expertise?

Building successful teams. I’m able to do that through change management around human capital - or as my website says, “Aligning people, purpose, and performance.” I really enjoy and have found success helping people live better lives. At Hartberg Growth Advisors I do that through people’s work. As a “DW” in Working Genius, I am a “Contemplative Counselor” who will listen, ask good questions, seek understanding, and help make the right decisions to achieve goals.

What are your fees?

My fee schedule is flexible depending on the type of engagement. I have flat fees for workshops, short-term engagements/projects fees (billed in phases), and monthly retainers for ongoing fractional leadership positions. I am currently able and willing to develop a schedule that meets your needs and budget.

Do you require a contract?

I require a document of understanding or agreement so that we are aligned in our understanding, expectations, and deliverables, but I do not hold my clients to a contract. Once I am no longer providing value to you and your organization, then my work is done.

What don’t you do?

I am a people-first professional. I believe all change happens with and through people. Good change management takes into consideration the effects on people and teams. That being said, not all change involves only people. When I diagnose a problem to be related to technology, manufacturing equipment, lean manufacturing, accounting, or finance (among other areas outside of my expertise), I will recommend a consultant from my network or encourage you to reach out to experts within your network.
